The Malawi Police Service(MPS) wishes to inform the public that it has received the report released by Afrobarometer on April 14, 2022 in which Malawi Police Service is said to be topping the list with 42% as the most corrupt organisation in Malawi according to a corruption opinion collected through the survey.

Police rescues suspect from angry mob in Mulanje

Police in Mulanje on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 have rescued a 30-year-old man, Mtchayi Katchena from an angry mob baying for his blood for an offence of breaking into a building and committing a felony (BIBCF) therein.

In the morning at around 8:00 hrs, a well-wisher informed Police that an angry mob was beating the said suspect after being found with nine chickens suspected to have been stolen.

MPS engages INTERPOL to trace and arrest sodomy suspect Paramjit Singh

The Malawi Police Service (MPS) informs Malawians that it has raised a red flag through INTERPOL to arrest Bakeline Limited Company former employee, Paramjit Singh, of Patiala, Chandigarh, India, as he is implicated in a sodomy case where the alleged victims are two other employees of the same company, and of Malawian origin.
