The Inspector General addressing police officers
The Inspector General (IG) of Police Dr George Kainja today visited Chikwawa and Nsanje Police Stations with a call to the law enforcers to remain disciplined and professional.
The IG said only disciplined police officers instill confidence in the community as they easily deal with criminal activities in their areas of jurisdiction.
'A good police officer must do right things at the right time. I don't want officers who are late on duty, dirty in turnout; officers who are drunk whilst in police uniform, and the list is endless. All indiscipline cases of police officers must be met with the firmness they deserve to instill the needed discipline. All bad apples will be thrown away', the IG warned.
On their part, the officers-in charge for Chikwawa and Nsanje Police Stations pledged to engage an extra policing gear in making sure that the people of the two districts are living in safer environment.
