The Malawi Police Service(MPS) wishes to inform the public that it has received the report released by Afrobarometer on April 14, 2022 in which Malawi Police Service is said to be topping the list with 42% as the most corrupt organisation in Malawi according to a corruption opinion collected through the survey.

During the operation, equipment such as bolts, nuts and insulator hooks weighing 5 tones valued at around K30 million were recovered at the suspect's warehouse in Lunzu. The four suspects are charged on two counts of fraud and false accounting, and theft by public servants. About MK9 million is alleged to have been swindled by the suspects between the months of February and March, 2022.

The call was made on March 9, 2022 by the Deputy lnspector General of Police responsible for Administration, Mrs Merlyn Yolamu, at Liwonde Community ground in Machinga District.
