The Malawi Police Service (MPS) is informing the general public that police officers will cordon off Lilongwe High Court premises on Monday, 3rd February 2020, to facilitate smooth delivery of the judgment by the Constitutional Court.
All Road users, using the High Court access roads are advised to strictly use alternative roads.
The Malawi Police Service (MPS) and the Judiciary have noted the circulation of stories on social media claiming that MPS has trained a crop of party cadets into its rank and file.
The stories allege that the party cadets were trained for one month at Mtakataka Police Training School in Dedza. The stories are totally untrue and mere propaganda.
The truth of the matter is that the MPS was approached by the Judiciary to train their Court Marshals into professional security officers.
